Invitations – The final draft

At last, the invitations appear to be ready. Simon and the Printers, emailed over what they’ll look like, complete with the overlayed names from the supplied Excel database. I think the choice of font was a good one – the nearest we’ll ever get to a hand written calligraphic style!

Paper Chase!

I’ve spent the past few days printing off the paperwork that’ll be included in the wedding invitation pack. ‘Plan A’ was to use this weekend coming to assemble it all and post it to those we’ve invited. Good job I had a ‘Plan B’ then! Ironically, the item that we started designing ages ago – the invitation – still hasn’t arrived. We can blame the post office for that one. The final draft was posted to me last Friday and by Wednesday of this week, it still hadn’t arrived. The Printer put a replacement in the post on Wednesday night and it turned up yesterday. The invitation is now signed off, but it’ll take a day to print them all and then another to over-print the names.

The Wedding Dresser

We met Janet at ours today – she runs a company called The Wedding Dresser. After a short discussion, we agreed on the colour for the chair bows and other decorations – a nice deep red. It’ll work well with the Christmas theme at Kelmarsh Hall and complement the flower arrangements too! – Perfect!!!

Wedding Stamp

We discovered that the Royal Mail provide a custom service where they’ll ‘stampify’ any chosen photograph. Here is ours – it will appear on the wedding invitations.
